Kim is the managing partner and has over 20 years of business process consulting experience, and over 10 years of innovative curriculum development experience, specializing in Community-based Learning. Combined, this creates a rich consulting experience on both fronts, with practical, results-driven outcomes! 

Business Background

On the business side, Kim has worked with Fortune 100 companies to one person entrepreneurial firms.  A sampling of her work includes organization team building, customer service training, credit and collection systems and staffing issues, leadership development, employee recruiting, retention, and release, and business process improvement. Kim has worked in manufacturing, wholesale, and retail businesses, as well as in many different service industries.

Educator Background

As an educator, Kim has worked at several universities and is an advocate of community-based learning (CBL) at all levels and in all disciplines. Community-based learning allows students to experience what it is like to apply their education while working for not for profit ventures, and allows them the ability to fail, learn, engage, and grow so they are ready for the realities of the professional world. She has been involved in many professional development workshops for educators, and was the 2014 OBTS New Educator Award ( winner for her work in innovative and contemporary teaching techniques and projects.

Kim earned her Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012, and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan-Flint. She is currently a visiting professor the University of Richmond Jepson School of Leadership Studies, and has served as an assistant professor at Virginia State University,  a lecturer at the University of Richmond Robins School of Business, and an adjunct at Virginia Commonwealth University, all schools where she developed her own courses and successfully implemented CBL programs.
